2026 is the Year of the Horse!

I am thrilled to share that my story, HOLD YOUR HORSES, is the

Middle Grade Novel winner in the Connecticut Shoreline Arts Alliance's Tassy Walden Awards for New Voices in Children's Literature.

What an honor!

It's a story about a shy eleven-year-old girl thrown into a summer of change who meets a rescue mare in need of help. Set in Vermont with themes of nature, friendship, family, and big feelings, readers will discover how the power of empathy and trust building can lead to meaningful connection.

Thanks for stopping by my site! I love writing stories about the bond between a kid and a horse that can happen on the ground, with no riding involved. It can be magical, as horses are sentient, intuitive beings who mirror human emotions.

I wrote a picture book also recognized by the Tassy Walden awards in 2022.

THE HORSE LISTENER, is a story story about hope and how being truly seen and heard while navigating a family illness matters.

I also write musings on every day life for adults. My personal essays have appeared in the

Connecticut Literary Anthology and Bella Grace Magazine.
